Greetings to all from high atop the mesas of Northern New Mexico!!

Ann---
When our basset Penny Lynn (age 13) was diagnosed with borderline
Cushings she was put on the Vetoryl drug at the very low dose of 1/2
capsule per day. While this helped control the excessive peeing after a
few weeks her back legs lost all muscle tone and basically turned into
"jello". The Vet took her off the Vetoryl and her legs rapidly regained
strength. She still pees quite a bit during the day and does not
concentrate the urine much, if at all. However, at night she is markedly
better and usually only needs about 2 "after-hours" trips outside. Her
legs are strong enough now that she can do the "supper dish" dance and it
is hard to believe she is 13! The Vet also told us that another of her
patients, an older black lab, had the same symptoms and results as Penny
Lynn. Hana's back legs also turned to mush, but got better when she was
taken off the Vetoryl. While this does not totally answer your questions
about levels of this or that hopefully it may help some or give you other
options to try.

Penny is slinging drool, but not pee, for all who need it!!
