[Dailydrool] the clueless momPerson and her garden

Hi all, it's Snoopy here,
Now, don't get me wrong we love our momPerson. She is snuggly and she walks us
every day and she plays with us and she feeds us ontime and she doesn't get mad
at us (usually). But, she's still clueless.
She doesn't understand about bassets and berries. First she feeds LuLu a
strawberry that a snail had a bite of. After that it was GAME ON with the
strawberry patch. Open up the garden gate, and whoops .... no more
strawberries. LuLu and I are FAST and we don't care if they have a little bit
of green left on them, they are still good.
Oh, and it gets better. Last year she reported to the dadPerson that the back
room got hot because the sun beats on that wall all day and the back room isn't
remodeled so the wall is not insulated. dadPerson was not interested in her
observations. So, our next door neighbor Jim gave her a lovely wrought iron
trellis that he was no longer using and she placed it in front of the back wall
and bought a rasberry (yes you heard me right) stump. It grew and grew last
year but it didn't yield .... I guess they don't the first year. dadPerson told
her, you'll never get any, Snoopy'll steal 'em. She told him, no, he'll only
get the ones at the bottom. Oh for goodness sakes .... when I stand up on my
back legs I am 4 foot tall and I LOVE rasberries. This year it is yielding left
right and center. I get maybe 50 ripe berries every day. The clueless
momPerson gets maybe 10 or 15. And she is lucky to get those because I clear
the bottom 4 feet of the rasberry and LuLu can CLIMB trellis' (which I can't)
and she climbs up into the thing and strips all she can find. IF the clueless
momPerson gets up early enough in the morning she can get 10 to 15 berries for
her cereal. LuLu and I get the rest.
She has sugar snap peas and blue lake beans and cucumbers and tomatos and
lettuce and green onions all behing 18" fences in flower beds around the yard.
Guess how that's going? Just guess .... I must admit the little 18" fences do
keep LuLu from trampling the beds. But pilferage is not even slowed down. We
can all stick our snooter right over that fench without even standing on tip
toes and take what we want.
She has a few things behind bars in the dog run (which she uses for a garden and
lets the dogs have run of the yard). So she will have to be satisfied with that
and with what we leave her.
Gotta run .... I smell a rasberry that just turned red enough.
More later from Snoopy with LuLu (it's mine, it's high) and Cyrus (you two
should cut the momPerson some slack) and the poor clueless momPerson too
