[Dailydrool] This and That

First off drool to all in need.

My internet went down again for two weeks. My technician just could not be reached to fix it. Life with out the drool is tough. 
We have caught up but somehow I managed to lose the list of all that needed drool so of course Speedy is giving me the stink eye for sending a generic drool blank. I hope he forgives me sometime soon.

My friend but her basset in obedience training class. She passed!! Well, granted the "come" and "leave it" command were a skewed to allow Shelby to pass. The trainer gave her a pass as Shelby would always wander toward the food bags at Petsmart. My friend's ultimate goal is to make Shelby a therapy dog since she loves people. She is more committed than when it comes to doggie obedience. I wish her luck with all my heart.

In other news we had to take Rambo in for entropion surgery. We always knew we had to do it, but weren't sure whether to take him to a specialist or do it at Banfield. Turns out we did neither. I found a holistic vet via the rescue we got Rambo from and took him there. She was wonderful. In our first visit she spent an hour just trying to get him to trust her. A lot of treats were involved in this process. She did an eye stain and recommended it before his eye got worse. So we did it with her. WOW just WOW. We have now been home for 4 days and the difference is night and day. Sure his first night he was very pathetic looking to the point where I actually cried, but what a difference now. All the DH's other Shar Peis, he had to do it twice because the vets just didn't fix the problem the first time. So we are very happy with the new vet. Another lesson on why we should always look for not just a nice vet but someone that knows what they are doing. I'm
 only sorry we decide for so long to change our vet for Rambo.
