I really want to say thank  you to so many of our dear friends who
sent a card from Michigan to wish me well.  It was a deeply
appreciated and thoughtful thing for you to do.  We did miss you all
very much and had been hoping to have a good time again this year.
Somehow, those four floors of basset hounds just calls to you.

Have not posted in a long time...have not read in a long time, but am
slowly coming back from the worst case of pneumonia I have ever had.
Because of it we missed our highly anticipated trip to Michigan and a
number of other things.  Has not been a great year so far, but I truly
believe things are looking up.  The boys are tired of playing nurse
and not getting to tag along with mama since the trips have been
strictly to the dr. and the pharm.  Vito is an extremely attentive
nurse, and if Arfur comes to sit near me, he only gets a few minutes
before Vito nudges him out to take the space next to mama.  They have
been very patient with their own needs and neither is afraid of the
nebulizer I have been using.  In fact, I think Vito thinks that when
it is on, he must not leave my side until it is finished.  Bassets are
such wonderful folks.  And they bring wonderful human folks into our
lives too.
