[Dailydrool] drool for Nigel, please

He has been diagnosed with Limbal Melanoma.  His primary Vet noticed it,
first, during Nigel's routine yearly exam (10/17), which included a
geriatric blood panel (normal results), and it was suggested to see the eye
specialist.  I had an appointment set for 10/29, but that was the day
hurricane Sandy blew in, so I couldn't get there.  I couldn't make my
rescheduled app't either because there was no gas yet (last week), but
finally, I got to the specialist today.  He confirmed the melanoma
diagnosis, and when I compare Nigel's eye to those examples of the disease
 "on line", Nigel is in a early stage by comparison.  Tomorrow, he gets a
chest x-ray, and pending that result, he may get his ocular ultrasound on
Friday.  Pending those results, he may well get laser surgery on Tues., but
that is the long and short of his path of treatment.  He is a spry 9, and a
great hound.
