Today our Jean Claude left for the bridge. He woke up fine and took his pain
pill and his stomach settling pill. While we were waiting for those to take
effect before we fed everyone, he got on the bed starting shivering and
quivering. We gave him another pain pill, but it soon became clear that this
time he was not going to be free of the pain. We called the on call vet who
wasn't around and ended up having to take him the The Dalles instead (about
20 miles away). With Seth and me at his side, he was helped on his way. The
other three went for the drive, and are now wandering around the house
wondering just what the heck is wrong.

No more lymphoma - no more suffering. He had a good fight against the cancer
and did really well with the chemo. We had an extra year and a half of him
acting almost normal. Not a single bad quality of life day until today, when
we were glad to see the pain end for this brave, rambunctious almost 14 year
old wonderful and loving little guy.

He brought us such joy and he will be so missed. I feel like leaving the
food bucket too close to the edge of the table just so he knocks it down and
steals all the food just one more time.
