[Dailydrool] Smokey Has Gone

[Lilie Basset]

Lilie's long time friend, Smokey the cat, has gone to the Bridge.  When 
Lilie was a puppy, they were the best of friends.  When they got older, they 
would said "hello" when they passed in the hallway, but that was about it.

Smokey spent each day of the past 2 years with Daniel the DH.  He's been ill 
and Smokey would come in the bedroom in the morning and leave when I went to 
bed.

I discovered that he "abused" 2 specific books before he died.  One was a 
Rita Mae Brown cat book...and the other was "You Had Me At Ahroo".  That 
pretty much summed up his feeling about other animals.

He was a very good 15 year old cat and Lilie doesn't know what a good friend 
she has lost.
