Hi all, it's Dale here,

First and foremost drool to all in the path of Sandy, stay safe!! I truely hope
they are wrong in all their forecasting so I'll just keep thinking good
thoughts.

Little Gracie is doing wonderfully after her teeth cleaning. They say they
didn't do anything different with the anesthesia but she really didn't have any
trouble at all this time. Came home HUNGRY. Ate a full dinner. At midnight
she got us all up again sobbing because she was SO hungry still and couldn't
wait till morning. Just sat there and cried. Sobbed real quiet. My husband
said she was just confused and let her be ..... are you KIDDING, my baby Gracie
is crying .... just let her be????? You ... well never mind what I thought
about him in that moment I got up and fed her a whole banana because it was soft
and wouldn't hurt her mouth and those always fill me up when I feel hungry. And
I gave her a big hug and a kiss and pulled her into bed under the covers with me
and hugged her and kissed her and snuggled her ...... and the little bleep told
me I was smothering her and got DOWN and went and lay down on the dog bed and
went to sleep. HARUMPH!

Gracie feels much better.

If anyone has any drool to spare though my LuLu could use some "it's nothing,
your clueless momPerson imagined it" drool. You see, last week I was laying on
the floor gazing down into LuLu's eyes and somehow they looked clouded and
unfocused to me, like she couldn't see me. And over the next day or two I
noticed that she seemed to be snarking at the other dogs when they pass her on
the right side, like they suddenly startled her, like she hadn't seen them.
Well, I called the vet and the vet said "eyes are nothing to mess around with
and I'm not an opthomologyst, you better get her checked." There is an animal
eye specialist close to my home and the folks at Bay Area Basset Hounds Yahoo
group recommend them so I made an appointment. The first one they had was for
tomorrow. Meanwhile LuLu seems fine now, no clouding, no snarking, she's
squinting a tiny bit in that right eye but she really seems fine. I thought
about canceling the appointment but honestly I'd rather waste $200 to be told I
imagined the whole thing than cancel and miss a chance to help my girl. I'm
clueless and I know it and Bev says it's better to waste your money and have
nothing be wrong then not spend your money and find out later that something was
VERY wrong.

So, if you could please drool LuLu some "it's nothing, your clueless momPerson
imagined it" drool we'd really appreciate that.

Thanks.

More later from the clueless momPerson with Snoopy, LuLu and Gracie too
