[Dailydrool] Dan my Dad Slave

Ollie Basset here.  My dad was gone for what seemed forever and he came home yesterday.  Mom put me and my brothers in the kitchen behind the safety gate.  That was very rude of her.  These two men brought Dad in the house on a bed with wheels.  They couldn't get it down the hall so they put him in a chair with wheels and put him in his new bed.  It goes up and down and there's a little table that rolls over the top of it for him to eat on.  Mom gets to wait on him all the time.  Sometimes she lets us go in to see Dad.  He gives us treats.  Mom fell asleep on the sofa with me and my brothers.  She seemed very tired.  Daddy got up to go to the bathroom without asking Mom for help.  He couldn't get up off the floor so he tried to call for Mom.  She didn't hear him so I woke her up and she was upset to find Dan on the bathroom floor.  His legs don't work and his arms are weak so he couldn't help her get him of the floor.  After a long time
 and Dad drinking a bottle of water and Mom a diet root beer she gave up and called the firemen to come help us out.  Mom was glad that at 5:30 AM the neighbors didn't see the big fire truck.  Of course all of us boys got locked in the kitchen.  We were really worried about our Dad and wanted to make sure they treated him well.  Finally Dad was back in bed.  The firemen were real big and Dad is safe.  Mom fell back asleep with us on the sofa.  Mom kept waking up to check on Dad but he slept a really long time.  I heard Mom tell someone that Daddy will be going away soon and not coming back.  I didn't know that Dads could leave us forever.  Mom said he's going to see our sisters Ellie Mae and Willow who are at the Rainbow Bridge.  Lots of people wrote to Mom from the Drool and it made her feel good that so many people cared enough to take time to think of us.  Thank all of you.
