[Dailydrool] Shelter Challenge (Slightly Graphic)

I don't know what's going on but, "4 the Hounds" definitely needs more  
votes from the Drool family in the Shelter Challenge.  4 the Hounds is  located 
in the heart of puppy mill country and tries to rescue as many  Bassets as 
they can from the puppy mill sales.  
 
If you're not familiar with puppy mill auctions, if a dog isn't sold, they  
are usually taken in back of the tent and immediately destroyed (and not in 
 humane ways).  Frequently, these are lovely females that have been bred  
every heat, are in terrible physical shape and not of any use to the mill  
owners.  Even worse, with the economy being what it is, sometimes a female  
and an entire litter of very young pups will be destroyed if not bought at the 
 auction.  The sale prices are not usually high but, the medical bills to  
treat the rescued Bassets can be very expensive.
 
Yes, "4 the Hounds" is a smaller rescue than the large ones you frequently  
hear about but please keep in mind that it's located in a rural area and 
they  don't have the advantages of being located close to a major metropolitan 
 area.
 
Please vote and ask your friends and family to vote for "4 the Hounds" in  
the Shelter Challenge.
