Wow...... my first time in Silent Pawtner exchange.   What fun and it felt
like Christmas opening up Denise's box!!  It arrived a while back and I
have been enjoying every item in it.  A package filled with not only dog
squeeky toys, my favorite socks with a basset on them...... and super
healthy dog treats, but a special second box arrived which had coffee cup
with the most beautiful Bassets shown on it......and the pottery is
gorgeous!!   Also a very useful Trivet...for under my coffee cup!
I think i ended up playing with one  of the Hedgehogs myself!!!!!    Too
much fun......Thankyou to Denise M. and I will be sending you a card soon
to personally thank you.
Still having puter problems but now i am using the server instead of the
email addy area.
We are knee deep in fundraising like other rescue orgs and putting up new
fundraiser flyers on our website in the near future as soon as a volunteer
has some time to finish it.  Its the ODDBALL FLYER FOR BRACELETS with chris
bly joining in, too.................... AND VERY COLORFUL HAND MADE SCARVES
along with our Quilt Raffle which comes to an end in about 2 weeks.

We have 3 Bassets needing us :  First one needs to come into rescue cause
the family is selling their home, living in a tent and building a new one
and no place for the Basset......... *we are really really trying to help
them with fence money so the Basset can stay with the family.....BASSET
hates being tied up..

*2nd:  Basset was adopted out last year and low and behold.......A DIVORCE
IS HAPPENING.   we are trying now to provide the wife with food, vet care,
and training.......so she can keep him.

*3rd....Basset is a gorgeous girl whos 2 legger has to move to stay in the
work force .....no room for the dog.

*WE UNDERSTAND THESE ISSUES..... AND THE ONE WHO SUFFERS IS THE BASSET IN
ALL 3 CASES HERE.   OUR GOAL IS TO KEEP A FAMILY TOGETHER.

*THEN.....*the 4 bassets here with me.......one has a cyst on his back
needing to be removed.

thank you for any and all support.........7 bassets are a smaller number
than some rescue orgs that have dozens and dozens.....needing so much more
.......we wish we could share even more.   We have a nearby non profit over
in N. Dakota  4 LUV OF DOGS. and their fundraiser is soon so we spared some
of our beaded bracelets and sent to them in hopes even that little of a
donation will help them.  They have helped us in the past with a Basset
Hound so we are so VERY GRATEFUL..to them.

HAPPY DAY EVERYONE......AND YES....MONTANA ALONG WITH CALIFORNIA AND SOME
OTHER STATES ARE ON FIRE. WE HERE IN FRENCHTOWN ARE SAFE FOR NOW.
