[Dailydrool] Oh Oh, I'm in big trouble now ....

Greetings Droolers,
 
A recent post reminded me of a problem my mother (may her memory be for blessing) faced periodically.  She was very active in Lab rescue.  She also moderated a Lab List.  Once in a while someone would write in with a story something like this:
 
"I know of this dog (sometimes their own dog, sometimes their neighbors/boyfiends/inlaws/et al) and s/he sits outside all day and barks and barks and barks.  Or s/he is confined inside for long hours day after day and has developed X annoying behavior (barking/peeing/aggression/neuorsis).  What should I do?
 
She couldn't help herself sometimes.  She'd reply
 
"Why don't you buy a nice statue of a dog.  Made out of concrete.  Then you can place it in the yard/crate/garage/what have you and take that real live dog that's in there and give it away to folks who have time for it."
 
My mom got in big trouble most times she gave that reply.  But some things just have to be said.

with Snoopy, LuLu and Gracie too .... who had her 3 year rabies shot today and doesn't feel so good .....
