For all folks who own bassets, glaucoma should be a scary thought. It is 
very painful for a dog (or a human, for that matter). I applaud folks 
who do not use Benedryl because of this danger.

Those of us who have been down the glaucoma road can tell you long and 
awful stories about this trouble that tends to affect bassets. Anything 
we can do to avoid it is good.
