[Dailydrool] Tessie needs a little drool

My XH's basset, Tessie, has an ulcerated tumor on her chest. It is about one-and-a-half inches across.
The vet says it has been caught early and he should get everything and there is no sign of further tumors.
She will have the op on Wednesday, so a little drool would be welcome - has anyone else had this happen? Any advice or thoughts please?
