[Dailydrool] bloat and attaching stomachs

I had a girl bloat several years ago. We caught her quick and the vet was
able to save her and she did attach her stomach. It does prevent bloat. Some
docs do it as a preventive. The only problem we had was that this girl also
had severe separation anxiety and ate laundry when we were gone. We tried to
be very careful. Never left anything on the floor, no socks or anything. She
did however manage to steel things and because her stomach was tacked she
had a hard time processing the laundry. Her stomach was not able to properly
churn or whatever it does. We had to open her up 3 times after the tacking
to remove items from her stomach. The last time the doc insisted she was not
blocked. They took x-rays and saw nothing. I knew from experience she was
blocked and had to beg the doc to go in and look. They pulled out a WHOLE
T-SHIRT. So, tacking is good if they don't steel laundry
