[Dailydrool] Basset\Slave Separation

Does anyone else's basset refuse to eat if their slave is absent? Today I went to hear my niece sing in a carol concert and take my mum shopping, and I left just after 10am. Morse normally sleeps until around 2pm and then likes a walk anytime around 3pm, but today I didn't get home til 6pm. He hadn't been for a walk as he totally refuses to go with the dad-slave (or anyone else). Morse does love the dad-slave but is very much my dog and has become very clingy in the last few years. To try and make Morse a little happier, dad-slave tried cooking some bacon for Morse. Bacon! A huge treat and his absolute favourite. He wouldn't even look at it and just waited for me to come home, silently. He refused his dinner. Once I got home we immediately went out for walk, he ate all his dinner (plus the unwanted bacon), he was in excellent spirits and waddled along happily, and is now cuddled up on the sofa next to me, although every now and then (much to my and dad-slave's amusement) he keeps giving me sidelong reproachful glances which clearly say *you left me*.

Sigh.

Becky (was evidently AWOL), Morse (how could you?) and Pumbaa ATB (good grief!)
