Has anyone tried those dryer balls? when I read about glass in dryer sheets, I googled dryer sheet ingredients, and, while I found nothing about glass, the other ingredients one site alleges are in both dryer sheets AND fabric softener are frightening: (following is directly from the site I pulled up)
• Benzyl acetate: Linked to pancreatic cancer• Benzyl alcohol: Upper respiratory tract irritant• Ethanol: On the Environmental Protection Agency's hazardous waste list and can cause central nervous system disorders• A-Terpineol: Can cause respiratory problems, including fatal edema, and central nervous system damage• Ethyl acetate: A narcotic on the EPA's hazardous waste list• Camphor: Causes central nervous system disorders• Chloroform: Neurotoxic, anesthetic and carcinogenic• Linalool: A narcotic that causes central nervous system disorders• Pentane: A chemical known to be harmful if inhaled

The site further recommended either dryer balls or various "natural" versions of dryer sheets for softening and static control, (companies: Method, Mrs. Meyers, 7th Generation, & Sun and Earth)
