Pat, I have a young blind golden, but we got her as a foster and found a few tricks that helped. I used little pieces of sticky loop velcro and scented them and then stuck them where certain things were. for instance all the water bowls got a lender scented one, the dog beds an orange scent, etc. 

as far as the other dogs, it took mine a bit to figure out that the blind dog couldnt see their warning stares or their curled lip, but they quickly figured out that they had to growl to give her a verbal vs. non verbal message.
