Hi Droolers,
    I hope you have all recovered from the holidays/hawlidays!--hounds and people!!!  There is a North Carolina animal control that is absolutely overwhelmed with hounds.  They will adopt out of state and will even help transport.  I have been in touch with two gals from Carolina Basset Rescue and they are full.  They are hoping they can find basset folks who would like to adopt directly from the shelter thus by-passing the need for these hounds to go into basset rescue at all.  If you think you can help or adopt, please check out the shelters website.  They have hounds aplenty that need homes.  Some sweet wonderful seniors who need caring homes too.
