Please read this carefully because I don't want anyone to harm their hound based on a discovery I made for just ONE of my herd basset. I am not a medical specialist, either human, animal or alien (joke), but I did have and accidental discovery regarding our Max, who has somewhat more frequent than the others episodes of wanting to lick the floor and be in some kind of distress. I used to wrap a gas-x in a piece of cheese which did nothing, he would puke it up. I tried liquid simethicone, but it did little to give him relief. He still would vomit. By accident, because an incident happened once when there was a fireworks scare, which troubles him, I gave him a dose of Composure Liquid. I have repeated this at least a half a dozen times since, w/o fireworks involved, but it is a quick correction for him. Please, read this carefully. I am only telling a story about Max. I do not want anyone to assume it will work for their own hound in a situation. I am just telling you of one experience of success that I have had. I am so glad that this dog who usually eats floors a lot is doing it a lot less, and he is puking a lot less as well.
