Earlier this week, I became concerned about Amanda Lynn - for no particular 
reason - other than she just didn't seem normal.  Of course, the word 
"normal" is rarely used with Amanda Lynn anyway - but she was eating and 
drinking well and no other symptoms - other than being a little less 
animated than usual.  But I remained concerned...

My husband Fred came home yesterday afternoon and took her for her walk - 
during which she made poo.  AMAZINGLY, when he was picking it up, Fred 
noticed that there was something in it.  I examined it when they got home 
and sure enough -- my little gurl has tapeworms!

Naturally -- on Thursdays our vet closes at noon -- so I called this morning 
and I'll be picking up her meds shortly.

Of course it is not a medical emergency - unless you leave it untreated - 
but never underestimate the medical intuitive powers of a bassetmom!!!


I STILL can't believe Fred noticed the egg sacks!!!

She probably doesn't need much - but a splash of drool wouldn't hurt.
