I know it's a bit late, but I have a Christmas Card story to share.  We have been doing the card exchange for may years.  The rule was aways that you had to announce the state from which the card came, then you could open it up, Ohh and Ahh and pass the card around.  My husbands girls were late teens when we started this, and as they moved I would keep some of the cards so they could open them when they came over.  So this year I have the two girls, and one grand daughter and her little friend (both around 6).  I saved some cards so the little kids  could open them, gave them the cards and let them go to it.  Well within a few minutes my stepdaughters had taken over - the cards HAD to be opened the RIGHT way with each state being read out loud and then the cards passed around!  Too cute and it turned into a fun family event!
