[Dailydrool] choker-like show3 collars for basset?

I have a neighbor who show his "Rotties"  using a slim choke-chain like
collar which fits right behind the ears.  He loaned me one to try.  I think
it is too severe for bassets(labs, too) because if they pull, it is a narrow
obstruction which I THINK COULD DAMAGE THE THROAT.

 Has anyone used this type for their furbabies?

I currently use a pronged collar if I walk along a busy highway or expect to
meet new dogs along a new route.  Slave Sue to Tilly, Phoebe and Harvey and
the crew ATB
