[Dailydrool] whining

Hi to you all. Please can someone offer me some advice. I rescued a
gorgeous 18month female basset. She had been kept outdoors with a pitbull.
I was told she was a house dog but there were wooden floors in the house
and not one scratch. Obviously as she had been outdoors she awoke early.
She also had never had a walk, her pads were too soft and now she goes
absolutely crazy when it's "walkies" time. We are retired and do not rise
as early as we used to do and very early Cindy is whining at the bedroom
door. If we don't answer she teases the Shepherd we rescued and there is
absolute chaos while they play and then she will come back to the door and
whines continually. So we get up, let them outdoors. We are tired and the
dogs promptly go back to sleep. We don't have dogs in the bedroom so how
can we stop the whining. It's causing quite alot of friction. Also she has
no idea what to do with toys as she wasn't given any. The Shepherd doesn't
know how to play with toys (he is 6) as he was kept outdoors for over a
year. I hope someone can help. Many thanks - Helena Mitchell
