[Dailydrool] Advise for a clueless momPerson

So I'm past all patience.

There is a lady who lives one block over who has an aggressive older pit bull 
mix.  And a couple other dogs.  She is a horder .... tons of stuff in piles in 
the yard.  And ..... she takes old food and bread and such and piles it in the 
street for varmits so they shouldn't go hungry.  I've TOLD her she has to stop 
that, the dogs try to get at it and lord only knows whats crawling around in 
there.

Anyway she cannot put a leash on this dog cause that makes it meaner.  She 
sometimes manages a 20 foot rope on the thing.  Tonight I saw the dog loose and 
crossed the street.  The lady was walking more than a block  behind her dog, 
walking with two more dogs on lead.  The dang thing charged across the street at 
LuLu and Gracie ..... I stood in front of them, held them on short lead behind 
my back, stood up as tall as I could.  stamped my foot shouting BACK, BACK OFF 
..... her dog had the tail pointed straight up, on tip toes, all hackles up, 
ready to go and the lady didn't want to get near it ..... she stayed on the 
other side of the street and was shouting at it to stop .... another neighbor 
heard the shouting and came out his door and was running toward me down the 
sidewalk ... he had something in his hand .... I don't know what .... he stopped 
about two doors away and when she saw him raise the hand with something in it 
she ran across the street and grabbed her dog and started slapping it in the 
face and shouting no, no, no, I'll never trust you again ....

I just took off walking as fast as I could with LuLu and Gracie right by my 
side.  I didn't stop to thank the man or see what he had in his hand but I'm 
buying pepper spray in the morning.  And I'm so tempted to call animal control 
.... this dang dog has come after me and my dogs half a dozen times .... but 
it's a nasty old thing, they might just take away the old ladies dog and put it 
down.  The house wouldn't stand up to any sort of inspection either and I'm not 
much for breaking an old ladies heart, even if she is crazy.
