Never ever be without Benadryl. If you and your dog are out walking,
hiking, at the park, on a trip have it ON YOU.

Your first line of defense in all allergic reactions is to stuff
Benadryl down the dog or person.
That should give you the edge you need to get to the ER if the dog
continues to have an adverse reaction to the bite or sting.
Also true of people.
My husband, allergic to everything, mowing the lawn hit a yellow-jackets
nest. He was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. He was stung numerous times
since Yellow Jackets are wasps and do not die when they sting. He called me
at work (I worked for the Veterinarian) and explained and said what do I
take for multiple stings?
Dr C threw me a bottle of Benadryl and sent me racing home. I gave John
three I think, and he was fine but sleepy. Apparently bees and wasps are
not things he is allergic to but I watched him for a good 24 hours.
