My vet will order it directly from whichever place you ask them to order it from and have it sent directly to my home.   I pay them for it and they pay the seller.  Thus, as far as the manufacturer is concerned, I bought it from the vet as that is who I paid.
 
The ever clueless momPerson who's vet is not clueless thank goodness.
