[Dailydrool] Sassy

I know Sassy is not a Basset but he is a friend to all the Bassets here.
on the 26 of Feb we lost Big Bou Kitty at the age of 20 years old. Bou was 
born 1-2 weeks after my Granddaughter and was no bigger then the bottom of 
her foot. Sassy was rescued in 2004 when a major Ice storm hit our first 
year in Kansas. Paddie and Big Bou helped to rasie this fierce little kitty 
to be the wonderful Kat he is today. In fact we call him Lieing around kat 
cause he wil just flop on the floor to lay down. Sassy is friend to all the 
Bassets here and they are always happy to see him and get his paw hugs or 
licks. Sassy got sick two day after Big Bou passed away I though maybe he 
was griving. But I took him into the vets anyway, He just was not hiself and 
I was not going to mess with it. The vet told me then that his kidney and 
pancress was in trouble. I of course felt the worse for my guy and the vet 
told me then let me see what we can do. Sassy just did not seem to be 
getting better but he was not getting worse so we hung with him. On Monday I 
went to see Sassy he was just laying there he was not purring but he knew 
who I was as he went nose to nose with me as he always did and every time he 
heard the vet out side the room we were in his ears went up, he knew his 
voice so to me this was a sign that this vet was taking very good care of 
him. The vet came in to talk to me and flat out told me I really like this 
guy, he is a neat cat and I am just not ready to give up on him. I thought 
what a wonderful compliment to know that I had done right by Sassy. Sassy 
has been there two weeks and has days that are okay and days that are fair. 
We are still hanging and though I am looking at a massive vet bill , well we 
will find some way to cover it we always have. Until his vet tells me no 
more. we will hang in.
Sassy needs all the healing Drool and prayers he can get. I have not been 
able to see hm since Monday as we are 40 miles away and I had allot of Dr. 
Appt myself this week. I will get to see him tomarrow as it happens one of 
my Appt is in the town he is at. Please I ask you and I have seen this work 
over and over agin, Send those healing prayers and Drool to our Sassy his 
friends are missing him.
Oh Doc said this happen cause of his age, I am going to have to regear my 
brain as I was so  shocked he is only 9. But after just lososing one that 
was 20 I guess it was hard to wrap my brain around.
