[Dailydrool] A warning about rubber mats at doggie day care

Just wanted to give everyone a little warning about the rubber safety mats
at doggie day care.  If you have a young dog without the toughened up pads
on the feet, have them wear dog boots at day care.  My Pumpkin is just out
of surgery after tearing her pads severely on rubber mats at daycare.  The
vet says she has seen it before with young dogs.  The mats make the pads
stick which is good but for puppies, the sticking tears the pads.  Just
wanted to warn others in case your young dog is at a daycare with mats.
