Momma here. Dollie has now been home here at the Beach about 3 months. We are still learning-or shall I say being taught by Dollie-all her little demands, quirks, ect. This afternoon we had a quick thunderstorm roll thru. Nothing serious, but I was watching her closely, they all take thunder so much differently. Elder Clara could care less, Sister Daisy was terrified, she started vibrating a hour before the storm, but did very well on Composure to calm her down. Bess, that you would think would be just over the top at thunder ignores it, just like Elwood and Jake.
Dollie has a totally different take on thunder. One I have never seen or heard of.
It thunders, she came off the perch at warp speed, went to the back door and barked and snarled, snooter in the air, and just furious. Each clap of thunder she went off again. This didn't seem like a bark of fear, more of a "I am Mad" bark.
Okay-never heard of this one.

How does your hound react to thunder? Do you have a barker??

Drool to all in need---

Brudder Elwood says I told you the old lady was nuts....
Jake says put that one in a crate..
Bess says keep on barking, its my turn on the perch!
