So sorry to hear that Annie is having heart problems, unfortunately this is
something I've been through with several dogs, and also both parents (Annie
has congestive heart failure). Something you should do immediately is go to
Wal-Mart or a health food store or any pharmacy and buy some CoQ10 and start
giving it to Annie. CoQ10 helps the heart beat stronger, and will
definitely make her feel better. 100 mg strength if you can find it, and
give a capsule in the morning and another in the evening. The Vet or
Cardiologist will also put Annie on blood pressure medicine to get her
pressure down to help her heart cope, and maybe fluid retention pills. If
you can't afford to take her to the Cardiologist right now, why not explain
that Maggie's problems drained the bank accounts, and ask your Vet to start
treating Annie? Seeing a Cardiologist would be the best thing to do, but if
you can't afford it, you can't. You can go to the Cardiologist in a few
months when you can better afford it, but in the meantime Annie will be
getting treated. We'll be sending lots of drool for Annie and Maggie and
you and Bill.
