[Dailydrool] Parvo hope

I just started subscribing to THE WHOLE DOG JOURNAL, and I was amazed at
an article on parvovirus. It seems that Colorado State University has
come up with a home treatment for parvo that was effective in 80 percent
of the dogs that received the care [a similar article by the university
said 85 percent]. Though the commitment requirement must be high, since
it is 24/7 care, it provides a way for rescues and owners to avoid the
hefty vet bills that go with this disease. Estimates of the cost of this
care say it runs about $600 (though I'm sure some areas may be more
expensive). Still, it's not the more than $5,000 that round-the-clock
vet care may run to.

Though I could not access the Web address in the article, I did find a
online article from the university that describes the study and offers
contact information for the doctors who did the study:

Here's hoping that this will work for many sick hounds.
