It has been quite a while that JP has been in decline, and up until yesterday, I thought his days were numbered, but an astute radiologist, who has been on JP's case for awhile just read Tuesday's film, and based on factors present, he diagnosed JP with pickwickian syndrome-obesity hypoventilation syndrome.
It makes perfect sense, and when he first started coughing, he was put on prednisone, which only made him get heavier.  So JP and I will diet together, and since we are cutting back his meds. and I am cutting back his treats BIG TIME, I see improvement already, and it has only been since Wed. that we are starting the new treatment. 
And no more refusing to walk.  We will do that slowly, a few ups and down the driveway in the cool weather to start, but as he builds his strength, we will do more of that too.
Also, there is no sign of his cancer metastasizing.
Jellybean is recovering well from her surgery, and the growth was benign.  She sure is complaining, though.  She had to do an overnight, and that did not sit well with her.  The growth was almost attached to a vein, but Dr. S. was able to cleanly remove it.
Max had a couple of rough days, not eating and diarrhea, but with the help of cerenia and mitazapine, he ate boiled chicken and rice today, and he seemed to be a little perkier.  
I thank all for the drool, prayers, kind words and good thoughts.  In JP's case, it really, really changed our lives.
I send heartfelt condolences to all those who had to send a pet to the Bridge.   I also send lots of healing drool to all in need.
Finally, may those in NJ be safe from fire and those in CO safe from floods.  I don't watch the news often, too sad, so if I missed any other natural disasters, know I hope you are all safe as well.
