[Dailydrool] Leg kicking

Sophie is kicking her leg backwards, it looks like its involuntary. 
I gave an anti-inflammatory, Privacox, should she go to the vet? 
The spasms have stopped, but the muscles in her leg look different. 
I'm going to massage her leg, if she lets me. She wanted to be lifted onto
the couch, and when I picked her up she growled. 
 
Has anyone else had this happen with their hound?
