[Dailydrool] Nov 24th Calendar boy Toby

Today’s Daily Drool Calendar boy is my Toby.  He is 6 years old.  He was my first foster failure.  I had my heart dog Bogart who was the reason I got involved in Basset Rescue which led to me fostering.  Bogart “tolerated” my fosters until Toby.  Toby was “the chosen one” by Bogart.  When Toby arrived 4 years ago to my house, Bogart was very old and ill.  Yet they bonded.  So, Toby stayed and Bogart and Toby had a full year together before Bogart passed.  Now, I swear Toby has so many of the same personality traits as Bogart.  He is my “baby boy” and my cuddler superb.  He loves to sleep with me and nap with me curled in my bed. He even growls at my husband when he comes to bed as if to say, “She’s my mommy!”

 

He Is very bonded to our yellow lab but like Bogart, he only “tolerates” other fosters.  He loves his two legged boys who are 13 and 8 and any other kids that enter our house.
