[Dailydrool] Torn ACL

A good friend of ours has an English bulldog who tore his ACL on his hind
leg at doggy daycare. The surgery estimate was about $5,000 and the vet
told them there was a very high chance he'd eventually tear the other ACL
as well. He is about 4 years old and unfortunately bulldogs don't live very
long so our friend's were hesitant to spend so much money, knowing they'd
likely need to spend double that if he tore the other one as well, and may
only have a few years left with him.

They opted to wait and do the crate rest thing. It's been about a year and
Pazzo is fine. He's become lazier, which may be from age, or may be from
knowing his limits, but overall the leg is healed and he hasn't injured the
other one. He walks and jogs fine and can even climb their staircase with
no problems. The parents are just mindful of his activity and he no longer
goes to doggy daycare because he gets too rowdy in those situations.

Sending drool to your boy and hoping he can recover easily and painfree.
