[Dailydrool] Aug 16 calendar and BassetFest!

That's our girls, Zuzu 2 yrs and Rae Ann 4 yrs, on the Aug 16 calendar
page. They are both rescues. Hard to believe that just a few years ago we
had a household of seniors. Sadly, Ella Marie and Copper have since moved
on to the Bridge. Our remaining senior, Hank (July 10 calendar page), tries
to be in charge but these girls run him ragged. He gets no respect. The
girls joined our house separately. Zuzu was adopted directly, we fostered
Rae Ann. Miss Rae got adopted once but it didn't go well and she came back
to us.  I warned my husband if she came back she wasn't leaving again. The
girls are quite the pair.  Occasionally they squabble, but mostly they play
together and snuggle.  They are best friends.  Rae Ann is a
Basset/Dachshund mix. Oh my, that Doxie personality has been a learning
curve!
