[Dailydrool] Miss Angela summons

Bill here, press agent/personal trainer emeritus to Miss Angela Basset,
Dowager Diva of Wichita and Sedgwick County

In the heat of the Wichita summer, Miss Angela spends much of her time
on the couch in the family room under the ceiling fan or on the tile in the 
bathroom or kitchen. She does not get very demanding when she is just
trying to chill.   However today, she required my services.  She sat by me
at lunch, sharing my mini-carrots and then got a rawhide roll up after the 
meal.  As usual, she picked it up and took it into another room to either 
chew it to pieces or cache it for future use.

In about a half hour, I heard her whining.  This is not unusual if she is not
being petted or fed frequently.  I ignored her, it being my post prandial nap
break.  Her whining became more insistent so I roused myself to check 
that she didn't really need something.  (She commonly decides that she 
doesn't want to use the doggy door to go out into the back yard and will
stand by the front door to go out into the front yard to do serious business,
if you know what I mean.)  She wasn't in any of her usual places so I 
listened again.  She gave me a single sharp bark to let me know that she
was in the library.  When I got there, she was sitting between one of my
reading chairs and  a storage table.  

As soon as she saw me, she gestured once with her head toward the 
table.  I picked up one end of the table and she retrieved her rawhide, 
then trotted out of the room without even a word of thanks.  She is a very
efficient communicator.  Speaking of which, she is again trying to open
some kind of communication so I must go.
