I don't know about how much training went into the Beagle getting the nuggets - the captions says "what she does when they are away from home." Why is something cooking if they are away from home, and I'd hate for the dog to get burned....

I can say a while ago I was wondering how Kahuna and Zuma were getting things I know I had out on high shelves. Then I watched Kahuna run from across the room and slam the shelves, shaking them so everything fell off. He repeated this until he got what he wanted down. Hounds are determined critters with an uncanny ability to figure out how to get what they want. 

Synthia and 
Kahuna (the body slam always works), Zuma (I let the musclehead handle the heavy work), and Tucker (none of those reindeer games for me)
Sampson the Saint (I think I slept through it)
And Rowan the baby Newfie ( the other black dog)
