[Dailydrool] prayers and drool for Harvey please!

Tomorrow, our 4 yr old bassador, Harvey, is going to be tested for Cushings
disease.

 

He will be given a low dose dexamethasone steroid, then blood will be drawn
at 4 hour intervals.

 

He has gained 7 lbs  in a short period of time with no change in his food or
activity level.

 

His ccortisol-creatinine ratio is a borderline 13.

 

Bev, thanks for being a souce of information and support!

 

He has a very low specific gravity in urine and has had high levels of BUN -
38 and Creatinine.

 

His kidney problems are under control now with a BUN of 11.

 

Otherwise, Harvey is an active, snuggly,  loving, gate guarder.  He sleeps
between our pillows at night!

The other 2  (Tilly and Phoebe) will not understand that Harvey gets 3 car
rides tomorrow!
