We are all so very sorry to hear that Duchess has gone on to the Bridge.
Back problems are so awful, it does seem like luck plays a big factor on
whether a dog will recover or not, but Hemangiosarcoma is such a virulent
form of cancer, it is very scary (our Sister Anna had it).  Duchess knew she
was loved, and you made the best decision you could for her.  All of us here
send all of you there lots of hugs and lub and soft snooter kissies.
Remember the good times.
