[Dailydrool] Basil Strom

Dear Esther,
I remember all too well you posts about Basil.  
When I saw the picture yesterday, I said out loud to my sister to look at her calendar  because today's dog looks like what a puppy would like if Max and Jean Paul had a baby.  I know, impossible, they were both boys, but Basil has a little of each of them in his "look".  
Sis replied, will it make me sad, and I replied, probably.
She noted that she didn't want a last photo of Max, she wanted to remember him differently.
I took a photo of Jean Paul, moments before I drove him to the Vet on a Sunday when the practice is closed, but I know someone is there, and I knocked on the side door.  I wanted to make sure I made the right decision.
That being said, hearts together, grief strong, they stay with us forever.
