[Dailydrool] Stuff we learned today

Hi it's Gracie,

We learned a lot of stuff today.

1)  The ASPCA has an animal poison control hotline (24 hrs) and the number is 888-426-4435

2)  They take your information, speak with a toxicologist about your pet, tell you to either do nothing, perform a home remedy or rush them to emergency.  If they send them to emergency they give you a call back number so the vet can speak directly with the toxicologist who already knows all of the info

3)  There is a charge of $65 which they collect AFTER they tell you all they know about the situation

4)  That sluggo snail bait is the best thing there is, it can't poisen your dog, even though it has iron in it the worst it will do is make your dog puke and have diarrhea.  It doesn't work as well, and costs twice as much as the stuff that WILL poison your dog if he climbs way up high and steals the whole package when you aren't looking ($22 vs $12), but mommy always buys this kind anyway.

5)  Mr Snoopy hurt himself climbing way up there and he's not climbing up on much of anything at present but he'll come trotting for a cookie, eats like a pig, and circle wags as usual when you call his name.  He's not interesting in jumping around or doing the basset 500 at the moment however.

More later from Gracie who is being extra nice to Mr Snoopy who scared us all but good
