[Dailydrool] Rescue vs.

I am all for rescue. I give money. I used to give time. I spent a lot of
energy contacting rescue orgs to get stray dogs to them. I think all
breeders should support rescue and I think they should all be willing to
take dogs back or they should not breed.

That said, I get my dogs from breeders.
I want a puppy to start with.
I want a puppy who I know has had a good nutritional start, has had the
advantage of staying with it's litter long enough to learn dog language and
dog manners. I want a puppy whose parents have had at least AT LEAST the
minimum of health clearances, who are vaccinated, wormed, free of heartworm
so that their puppies have a healthy start.

I would like a dog that grows up the way I expect it to: that doesn't turn
out to be part something else. I'd like to know how long it's relatives
lived and what they died from, and I would like to know that the parents
are kept in clean, safe conditions, and are treasured.

All these things will affect my puppy as he reaches adulthood.
Mostly I do not want to be made to feel as if I am doing something wrong
because I buy from a breeder instead of adopting from a shelter or rescue.

MomPerson to Warf(ATB) Walker(ATB) Mitchell (ATB) Quiller(ATB) Zelda(ATB)
Cooper(ATB) Nigel, Llewis, Conley and Doc all from breeders.
