Tessie King 2007-2014

Tessie owned my XH Tom. He bought her from a newspaper advert when she was 10 months, because the ad flagged up she was unspayed and "pedigree" (almost certainly from a puppy mill). He didn't want her to be a breeding machine.

She moved into his home and his heart and has been his close companion for six years.
She welcomed a stream of foster bassets into her home, never arguing or jealous of the attention they got. She appeared in numerous newspaper articles as a model (Tom is a journalist), 
She was pretty, naughty and full of zest. She and Clara were best friends.

It is impossible to believe the speed with which she left. Last Sunday (May 4), she came on a basset walk with 30 other hounds and no one knew she was ill. By this morning (Monday), just 8 days later, she could hardly walk and didn't want to eat.

She slipped off to Rainbow Bridge, helped by the vet, with her head on Tom's knee, being stroked and loved this aftrenoon,

He is heartbroken.
