We have some really great and informative PDF files which speak about
how to help Bassets during the adoption process.......and areas of
desensitization training in detail, and other problem areas, etc. This
information has been provided to us and "for" our latest adoptive boy
pup to offer help. We are very grateful to the Missoula Humane Society
of Western Montana 's Behavior Help Line .
Our goal here at Basset Rescue of MT. is to assist any hound who needs
help in the new family. As we all know not each adoption runs as
smoothly as we wish but thank dog we have resources to provide and we
always are here and present......to help.

Here is a site that describes desensitization training in more detail.http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/desensiti
zation-and-counterconditioning.

We have created another rescue flyer in hopes to spread the word that we still have 2 seniors here available for adoption. All the others have been placed in our Houndie Homestead to live out their lives with me here at the ranch and in the shelter/house.
Our creeks so far have not overflowed but we are keeping our eyes open to the snow melt.......its coming soon. Our lobby 2 wall on one side is about 2 ft distance from the hi flowing creek.

Our hearts go out to those who have lost their hounds ATB .
We mourn with you over eaCH Loss.......so please know you all are in our thoughts.

Most sincerely, Leslie
