Now the drool I asked for earlier needs to go to all the other dogs in
need...

The ultrasound showed masses in the liver, and everywhere.  For the first
time in her almost 14 years, our Pixel cried out in pain.  This  was a dog
who was blind since eleven, three bouts with pancreatitis, terrible
arthritis, an enlarged adrenal gland which was found eight months ago which
could not be determined  if it were cancer.  Biopsy was too dangerous and
we were treating symptomatically.

Recently, she began to have kidney problems which were kept at bay by a
bolus of saline solution every morning.  She was eating half a can of Royal
Canin Gastrointestinal for all four meals until yesterday.  Just yesterday,
she stopped eating and cried out in pain where her tummy was touched.

We just knew last night at the ER clinic that it was the worst.

I will end with a few lines from a poem by Rudyard Kipling *"The power of
the Dog":*
