[Dailydrool] Smaller bassets?

Eventually we want to have another basset for a friend for our Browser as
well as for us.  Our condo has weight restrictions and Pixel and Browser
were 'grand fathered" in.

Does anyone know a reputable breeder or a rescue that may have a basset in
the 40ish pound range?  We could get away with that weight.  Am I asking
for the impossible?

We do not want a puppy but the basset can be anywhere from about a year to
five years.  Our next choice would be a shi tsu--but we really have been
die hard basset lovers for 30 years...
