Has anyone ever dealt with Histiocytic Sarcoma cancer with their Basset? I surely hope not, but if you have, wouldn't mind hearing any input. One of my girls had a fast growing lump appear on her hip and after a needle biopsy was done and only blood would come out, she had a surgery, that went very well, and we were hoping for nothing scary. Her tumor was sent to Ohio State University pathology dept. and it was so very difficult to identify, that they have done 2 more rounds of extensive slides at no cost to me because the team of pathologist also wanted to know what it was.Her case has been presented as one of their difficult cases. They have agreed that it is the above evil type of cancer, and although localized, it will reoccur. The vet is gathering information from the cancer specialist of options. Thankfully she doesn't act sick, is very happy, has energy and a great appetite with no suspicious signs.
Many thanks.MaribethBAGS Basset Rescue, Ohio
