[Dailydrool] Update on Bugsey from the Mom

Bugsey is right. He had an ultra sound yesterday. I thought we were just
making sure that he didn't have an ulcer. Then the vet doing the ultra
sound is looking for all kinds of dreadful things. I was very proud of how
still Bugsey held, but I wasn't surprised. He will let a vet do just about
anything to him. It was obvious that this vet doesn't really like bassets.
I was trying very hard not to let Bugsey know how honked off I was. I
didn't want him being bad because I was mad.

The next thing I know, she is talking about Addison's disease and
megaesophagus. They did the ACTH test. She says if that comes back
negative, she wants to scope him. I don't want to scope him yet. My vet
says we will do a barium xray first and he doesn't mind waiting 2-4 weeks
to see if the change in food and the thyroid meds improve anything. That
stupid woman had me scared half to death. I was glad when I was able to
talk to the usual vet and find we were on the same wave length. I would
like to request a little drool. I know that Addison's and megaesophagus are
not death sentences, but they aren't great either.
